Westfill Secures Full Service Underground Mining Contract with Vault Minerals at Rothsay Mine

Westfill Pty Ltd is pleased to announce the award of a two-year underground mining contract by Vault Minerals, previously Silverlake Resources, for the Rothsay Mine, located in the Warriedar Greenstone gold belt of the Yalgoo Goldfield in the southern Murchison region, approximately 300km northeast of Perth. The contract includes a possible extension period of 6 months plus an additional 6 months at the end of the contract.

The contract encompasses portal and decline development, focused on extracting mineralised ore from narrow sub-vertical structures. Operations commenced on 17 September and are a testament to the ongoing partnership with Vault Minerals and the development contract Westfill has at Darlot Gold Mine.

Westfill Managing Director, Ashley Morcombe said: “We are very excited to take on our first principal mining contact. Red5 (now Vault Minerals after the merger with Silverlake Resources) is a valued client of Westfill’s, we have previously been engaged for scoping studies for the King of the Hill Operations, personnel placement for key operational roles, and are currently undergoing high-speed development at Darlot, where we mobilised in short notice and have been continuing to exceed KPIs.

“The team’s hard work at Darlot is what put Westfill up to the challenge, and I would like to thank the corporate and operational workers on site, as well as the entire corporate management team for pulling it together and mobilising a relatively difficult contract in a short time frame.”
